L’ARTE È WOW!

OCA presents a selection of works created by Art Factory, Dynamo Camp’s special project that has been combining contemporary art and Dynamo Recreational Therapy® for over fifteen years.

The collection, which today includes over 2,000 works, is the result of artistic residencies involving more than 170 internationally renowned artists. During their stay at the Camp, the artists freely offer their time and practice, working side by side with children and teenagers suffering from serious or chronic diseases, neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities, and their families with the aim of creating real works of art together.
In a context of play and fun, art thus becomes a space for discovery, relationship, and
authentic sharing. The works on display are the living result of these extraordinary encounters: traces of a
collective and profoundly human process, in which each creation is unique because it arises from an unrepeatable moment – the encounter between artist and guest – where the creative act becomes a transformative experience, a profound exchange, and shared wonder.

OCA: an experience into the nature

The journey begins right at the parking lot in the Croce di Piteglio area, where visitors leave their cars: OCA can only be reached on foot, with a walk through the forest lasting about half an hour.

From the parking lot, you first pass by some houses, then nothing else: only woods, trees, and the sound of the wind. This gradual retreat from the signs of human civilization to nature allows people to embark on a spiritual journey as well, rediscovering themselves and their relationship with the planet.

Emerging from the dense forest, visitors arrive at a wide, sunny plateau and are welcomed in what was once a stable, now transformed into an exhibition space hosting the free show “L’arte è wow!” curated by Fondazione Arte Dynamo.

MUDY

About an hour from OCA, you can also visit MUDY, the new Dynamo Museum in Fornaci di Barga, which promotes contemporary art as a common good and a tool for social inclusion.

MUDY represents an innovative combination of art and inclusivity. A place where past, present, and future meet to tell the story of the artistic production of Fondazione Arte Dynamo. The museum was created to preserve, enhance, and make accessible a unique collection, in which each work demonstrates how art can break down barriers, create connections, and become a bridge between people, as well as a tool for social transformation.

The MUDY project has its roots in Dynamo Art Factory, an initiative launched in 2009 that highlighted art as a powerful means of expression and change. By integrating Dynamo Recreational Therapy® with the sensitivity and professionalism of internationally renowned contemporary artists, Art Factory has created a space for experiences of creative empowerment, growth, and participation. The works on display are not just artistic creations, but true narratives of change.
