OCA, where art and architecture dialogue with nature
On April 25 OCA Oasy Contemporary Art and Architecture, the place dedicated to art and architecture, reopens to the public 900 meters above sea level, in the Pistoia Apennines, within the Oasi Dynamo nature reserve.
Under the artistic direction of Emanuele Montibeller, at OCA, as the name of the place itself states, art and architecture are integrated with the nature that hosts them, and await visitors after a walk in the woods to welcome them with a temporary exhibition inside a spectacular exhibition space surrounded by greenery, and with an open-air path, with works by some of the most important contemporary architects and artists: Alejandro Aravena, Mariangela Gualtieri and Michele De Lucchi, Kengo Kuma, Davide Quayola, Davis Svensson, Pascale Marthine Tayou and Matteo Thun.
For the 2026 season, OCA welcomes a new international artist: belgian artist Arne Quinze, who brings “Ceramorphia” to Oasi Dynamo—a work that enriches the nature trail—and presents his solo exhibition “I’m a Gardener” which explores his research on the relationship between humans and biodiversity.
OCA will open to the public on April 25 and will be on view until November 7.
THE PROJECT
The exhibition “I’m a Gardener” is Arne Quinze’s first major exhibition in Italy. Held at the OCA exhibition space, it presents a selection of paintings and works on canvas that explore the relationship between humanity and nature.
The surfaces, marked by chromatic tensions and dynamic layering, do not depict the landscape but convey its vital energy—through growth, collisions, and metamorphosis. Painting and installation thus reveal themselves as two manifestations of the same creative core: an exploration of life’s generative force and the need to restore balance and variety to spaces inhabited by humans.

Oasi Dynamo is a WWF-affiliated nature reserve that, in addition to environmental restoration and conservation activities in the area, has also opened up over the years to hospitality, eco-tourism, and the dissemination of a sustainable culture of the environment.
Oasi Dynamo is committed to promoting research
useful for furthering knowledge of the natural environment and biodiversity conservation by cooperating with universities and educational centers.
The Reserve is home to Oasyhotel, Italy's first luxury hotel in a WWF-affiliated oasis that offers guests a stay in eco-lodge surrounded by unspoiled nature.
A variety of experiences are possible within the oasis, from field trips and excursions to summer camps and educational activities for schools.
